American Brewmaster and Tir Na Nog to host homebrewing classes. Homebrewing Made Simple will be hosted quarterly at Tir na nOg Irish Pub in downtown Raleigh. Check out our calendar to find out when the next one is taking place. Ever wanted to learn how to make your own beer? Well now you can with the help of American Brewmaster and Tir-Na-Nog Irish Pub! American Brewmaster is Raleigh's only homebrew and wine-making supply store and has been serving the Triangle area for over 25 years. In the beginner class, Brewing Simplified, we will cover the brewing process, equipment usage, ingredient selection, and popular beer styles. Admission includes a flight of beer (both commercial and homebrewed examples), an extensive 3-ring binder full of information, discounts to both the homebrew shop and the pub, and a hands on brewing demonstration! The class will last roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes. Tickets are $25 and may be picked up either at Tir-Na-Nog or American Brewmaster in advance. In addition to the beginner class, American Brewmaster is teaching classes in innovative brewing techniques which will vary in content and length. There may also be various appearances by some recognized figures in the brewing community as well. Some examples of upcoming classes are detailed beer style courses, bottling and kegging your beer, beer tasting, troubleshooting and identifying off flavors, brewing with adjuncts such as spices and fruit, and high-gravity brewing just to name a few.

The class will be about an hour to two hours long, depending on the topic and the material and will begin promptly at 7pm.
Class will cover fun and informative topics such as brewing with fruit, palate training, kegging and bottling techniques, beer style discussions, engineering better beer, etc. Classes will have hands on demonstrations, lengthy discussion with question and answer sessions, extensive hand out packet to reinforce and suppliment class material, and all classes will include a flight of beer. Attendees will receive discount coupons redeemable at American Brewmaster and Tir na nOg.
